We are seeking a skilled and highly organized Warehouse Coordinator to join our team.

The Warehouse Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Inventory Unit; ensuring efficient workflow and maintaining accurate inventory records. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

The Warehouse Coordinator directly supports the Inventory Manager in the efficient and effective operation of the Inventory Unit. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily warehousing and distribution operations ensuring KPIs achievement and compliance to all standards, procedures and policies.

In this role you will:

  • Supervise the organization and maintenance of the warehouse ensuring there is compliance to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Inventory Management procedures and policies.
  • Conduct daily warehouse inspections to ensure FIFO and FEFO principles are in compliance and products are stored in their correct temperature zones.
  • Manage Inventory team’s weekly duty roster assignments, attendance in Aloha Cloud, generate weekly reports to monitor punctuality and absenteeism.
  • Audit warehouse inventory weekly for Stock replenishment purposes.
  • Monitor the replenishment of goods in a timely manner ensuring bins are replenished with the correct lots and expiry dates respecting FIFO and FEFO standards
  • Monitor inventory shelf life ensuring products are rotated effectively preventing instances of expired products in the warehouse.
  • Effectively supervises the receival and dispatch processes ensuring completeness and accuracy at all times.
  • Conduct investigation and complete necessary disciplinary reports for infractions by Inventory team then escalate to the Inventory Manager.
  • Coach and organize necessary training for Dispatch Team ensuring capacity building to effectively execute the dispatching and receival processes.
  • Provide seamless integration of new team members into the Inventory unit’s operation.
  • Support the manager the timely and effective communication of team related issues such as sick leave, food handlers, vacation requests and any other HR related matters to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Complete daily Pre Ops check as required by our GMP standards.
  • Coordinate and participate in monthly stock counts.
  • Support GMP audits and ensure all non-conformances are actioned and closed ensuring the inventory unit’s quality standards are maintained;
  • Conduct daily audit checks of stores as final checks before products are dispatched to ensure accuracy of deliveries.
  • Conduct performance evaluation of Dispatchers and create development plans for performance gaps identified.

Qualifications & Experience 

  1. BSc / ASc. in Logistics and Warehouse Management or equivalent
  2. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Warehouse & Logistics.
  3. A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a similar industry
  4. GMP / ISO / OSHA exposure.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
