 Overview

Progressive Distributors Ltd. is seeking to fill the position of Warehouse Clerk within the Shipping Department of the Warehouse.  This is not an entry level position.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of orders that includes handling delivery of stock, invoicing, credits, requisitions and purchase orders; accurate record keeping, tracking and dispatching of delivery trucks to routes.  The ability to meet daily operational deadlines and to work efficiently is essential. The candidate must be available and flexible to report to work; any time between 5 pm – 7 am or as schedule requires, 5-6 nights per week from Sunday to Friday; day shift; weekends; and holidays when necessary.

Salary Range: CI$12.00 to CI$14.00 (US$14.28 to US$16.66) per hour commensurate with experience.  An attractive compensation and benefits package (including medical insurance, vacation and pension) is being offered to the qualified candidate.   All applications received will be reviewed and only candidates meeting the mandatory requirements will be contacted for interview. 

Core Technical Competencies Required

• • Must have at least 2 years data entry experience, this is required in order to process the heavy load frequency of shipping invoices and dispatch procedures.
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong computer software management skills, including but not limited to data download and upload across several system platforms.
  • Must have experience with computers, along with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Must possess fast and accurate numerical typing skills with high emphasis on processing detailed customer orders and invoices.
  • Must have the ability and willingness to learn Company taught systems (ERP and dispatch systems: SUN, Infor M3, Ascomy).  Training in using these systems will be provided as it is an essential tool for the operation of the Warehouse Department.
  • Must have excellent communication skills. 
  • Must have the ability to solve problems and offer creative solutions.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a busy environment with minimal supervision.
  • Must be punctual, honest, reliable, hardworking and be able to work as part of a team.
  • Must speak, read, write, and comprehend English proficiently.
