Warehouse Attendants control the flow of stock through a warehouse, monitoring goods in and out, safely and efficiently moving and handling items and keeping stock records. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibility
1. Reading production schedule, customer order, work order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
2. Conveying materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
3. Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
4. Filling requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributing items to production workers or assembly line.
5. Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
6. Marking materials with identifying information.
7. Opening and offloading of bales, crates, and other containers.
8. Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
9. Weighing or counting items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.
10. Arranging stocks and or parts in specified sequence for picking by other workers.
11. Picking specific goods according to picking slips information.
12. Maintaining stock cards information.
13. Any other related duties assigned by Management.
QUALIFICATIONS
• School Leaving Certificate
• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Verbal and written ability
• Must have Mathematical Skills – ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must have reasoning ability.
