Responsible for providing services for the Warehouse Department as outlined in the duties and responsibilities section.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform regular cycle counts of warehouse raw and packaging inventory (by storage location and expiry dates);
Daily updating of raw and packaging materials stock sheets;
Receiving, inspection, labelling, proper handling and storage and record-keeping of all incoming Raw and Packaging materials;
Preparing Goods Received Notes (GRNs) and updating GRN logs for all incoming shipments within 24 hours of receipt of materials into CGA;
Oversee both loading and unloading of shipping containers (as instructed by the warehouse supervisor);
Ensure that all picked materials (for production) are clean, free of contamination, not expired, adheres to proper stock rotation and delivered in a timely manner. Maintain accurate records of material batch codes, quantities and time issued.
Records raw material batch codes on all material requisitions.
Ensure that all warehouse raw and packaging inventory is properly stored and secured (stretch-wrapped, top covered, pallets used in good condition);
Assist with ensuring all warehouse storage areas are well organized and clean.
Immediately report any non-conformances relating to warehousing operations to the warehouse supervisor.
Maintenance of filing systems for all records and documents under the purview of this position.
Prepare meeting minutes, time sheets, memorandums, purchase requisitions and payment vouchers when required.
Conforms to all established departmental and company policies, procedures and objectives, GMPs, food safety and HSE site protocols.
Perform other related duties as required by the warehouse supervisor;
Train to perform the duties and responsibilities for the position of Warehouse Attendant II – Logistics (alternate);
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Diploma in Business, Management, Logistics or related field preferred, Administrative Professional Certificate
3-4 years’ experience in a Warehouse environment (preferably with a manufacturing company)
Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management
Time management skills and the ability to delegate
Excellent leadership and organizational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software
