Job title:                              Warehouse Loading Officer


Job purpose:  Overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping products or materials, while ensuring efficient coordination amongst the staff. Monitoring and enforcing compliance with company policies and safety regulations to ensure the safety of all warehouse employees.

  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel applications and any other related database tools for management reporting
  • Initiative, decisiveness and problem solving skills

 

Responsibilities 

As a Warehouse Loading Officer, you'll need to:

  • Ensure that item receipt for Vendors are done timely, accurately and are recorded on Good Received Note.
  • Verify product received from Factory.
  • Load delivery trucks.
  • Effectively route invoices by location for the following day delivery.
  • Ensure that warehouse equipment is properly used and submit report for any maintenance.
  • Train, guide and evaluate new warehouse workers.
  • Verify and submit to inventory department items returned for credit note.
  • Constantly work to improve processes and make suggestions for productivity improvements.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other team members.
  • Coordinates and schedules the movement of stock throughout the warehouse including storage.
  • Directs forklift drivers to store goods in identified areas.
  • Organize warehouse to ensure proper rotation to maintain a FIFO procedure and general housekeeping.
  • Verify and submit to accounts department empty container(s) returned for credit note.
  • Constantly work to improve processes and make suggestions for productivity improvements.
  • Ensure health and safety protocols are adhered to.
  • Participate in stock counts as required.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other team members.
  • Ensure that all containers are off  loaded
  • Responsible for the off side location in its entirety.
  • Assist with general delivery enquiries.
  • Responsible for the company’s fleet management
  • Any Other duties

Key Knowledge and Experience:

  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in a warehouse environment
  • Related qualifications in Warehouse loading or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Inventory Management Systems
  • Experienced with fleet management operation
