Job summary

We are seeking a highly organized and safety-conscious Warehouse Coordinator to manage the daily operations within our HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) certified warehouse. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing inventory management, shipping, receiving, and maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety in accordance with HACCP regulations. This role demands attention to detail, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to ensuring food safety and quality in all warehouse activities.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure all warehouse operations are in compliance with HACCP guidelines and food safety regulations, including proper handling, storage, and transportation of food products.
• Oversee accurate tracking, organization, and maintenance of inventory, ensuring items are stored and rotated according to FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
• Accurate receipt and dispatch of goods, ensuring that products are stored under proper conditions to maintain their quality and safety.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure all products meet quality standards and report any non-compliance issues.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and organized warehouse environment that adheres to HACCP hygiene standards, ensuring proper sanitation of equipment, storage areas, and materials.
• Assist with implementing and monitoring safety protocols related to food safety, sanitation, and employee safety.
• Assist with training warehouse staff on food safety regulations, including temperature control, pest control, and handling of hazardous materials.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipment schedules, temperature logs, and compliance checks.
• Generate reports for management regarding inventory status, safety audits, and HACCP compliance.
• Act as liaison with the head office to order goods in a timely manner to prevent shortages. 
• Report any operational issues or discrepancies related to food safety, inventory, and warehouse processes.
• Identify opportunities for improving efficiency and food safety processes and collaborate with management to implement improvements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for the operations of a HACCP Certified facility.
• Conduct monthly physical count of inventory, reconcile variances and ensure proper and correct documentation, data entry and reports.
• Provide support to management to facilitate effective production and retail operations objectives and targets.
• Maintain financial standards by identifying variances, implementing corrective actions and communicating with relevant management and departments, i.e.  Accounting, purchasing, etc.

• Diploma in Logistics, related field or its equivalent   
• Food Handler’s Permit
• Forklift licence would be an asset
• Two (2) years’ work experience in warehousing or a related field
• Able to work flexibly and proactively within a small team
