The Warehouse Team Lead oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing activities required to lead the Warehouse efficiently and effectively on his/her assigned shift. Therefore, achieving high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, storing, replenishing,identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods. He/ She should ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations to increase the company’s overall market share.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Accomplishes warehouse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
Ensure that Warehouse is organized and meets regulatory standards.
Ensures compliance with safety guidelines and policies.
Monitors all operational documentations and Standard Operating Procedures
Cost sensitive and take initiatives to minimize wastes
Evaluates quarantined products and decides on the final disposition
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Front line Team member that maintains established procedures to manage the receipt, storage and delivery of goods in accordance with CPJ’s service mandate.
Monitors systems and procedures to minimize the risk of loss of contents of warehouses.
Ensures effective inventory management is practiced in the warehouse, including dispatching goods on a first-in-first-out (FIFO) basis.
Ensures that the warehouse is orderly and at required temperatures at all times; and that necessary requests for maintenance and repairs are requested in a timely manner
Manage resources effectively to meet targets.

Experience with computerized perpetual inventories and in investigating physical inventory discrepancies.
Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
Improve warehouse work processes through strategic planning,motivate and lead warehouse staff to effectively carry out given tasksin order to create a more efficient fulfilment system
Ability to operate and enter information into a computerized inventory system
Should be able to utilize handheld technology in completing tasks.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with all level of staff.
Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety Regulations.
Results oriented individual with excellent planning and organizing skills.
Should be detailed oriented, reliable and able to handle stressful situations.
Able to work with little or no supervision.
Ability to carry out manual handling operations e.g. driving a forklift, climbing ladders and scaffolds etc.
Ability to work within Company Policies.
Education & Experience:
Undergraduate degree in business management, logistics, material management or a related field of study preferred.
Three to five years of previous leadership experience in a high volume, multi-shift, order fulfilment distribution centre leading large employee populations.
Proven leadership skills with an emphasis on excellent communication and organization, employee development and team building. Ability to retain motivates, develop and recognize a team of diverse individuals.
Will be required to participate in Supervisor rotation.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems
Food distribution experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge of Bureau of Standards regulations.
Knowledge of HACCP and AEO.
Ability to work nights, weekends and public holidays as required.
Demonstrate strong leadership skills.
