VIDEOGRAPHER

JOB SCOPE

The Videographer is responsible for planning, filming, and editing videos that could be used for a variety of projects such as JSE Group’s seminars, interviews, advertisements, video features, social media content, or television shows.

DUTIES

Reporting to the Station Manager, the successful candidate’s responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Covering assignments on location and in the studio
• Assisting in editing video content when necessary.
• Liaising with the Station Manager to set up shoots and ensuring the proper lighting for all shoots and studio work.
• Assisting with setting up of the Television studio set.
• Ensuring that raw video footage is of the highest quality
• Performing any other related duties which may be assigned by the Station Manager.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Diploma or Certificate in Video Editing from MTI (Media Training Institute) or any other approved training institution.

• At least two (2) years related working experience, preferably in the media.

SPECIFIC SKILLS

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer relations skills
• Sound knowledge of videography, sound recording and photography
• Good video editing skills
• Knowledge of electronics and digital equipment as well as the operation of multimedia systems
• Understanding of post-production techniques
