Responsibilities, Duties, and Characteristics

● Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests on animals

● Diagnose illnesses and injuries, and develop treatment plans

● Administer vaccinations, medications, and other preventative care

● Conduct surgeries and dental procedures as needed

● Maintain accurate medical records and documentation

● Collaborate with other support staff

● Stay current on advancements in veterinary medicine and treatment protocols

● Organizing and logistics of K9 locations and distribution

● Supervision of K9 handler staff

Qualifications:

● Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited institution

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills

● Compassion for animals and their owners

● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergencies

Preferred Skills:

● Experience in a clinical setting

● Knowledge of canine behavior and care

● Proficiency in using veterinary and medical equipment and technology

Working Conditions:

● Exposure to potentially stressful situations, including handling distressed animals

● May require working on weekends and holidays
