Job Summary

The Utilities Technician is responsible for maintaining assigned machines efficiently and effectively to ensure the production of high-quality products. This role focuses on achieving the highest levels of machine maintainability and efficiency.

Job Description

The UtilitiesTechnician's key responsibilities include:

• Maintain production machines in an efficient manner.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance tasks (electrical and mechanical).
• Apply knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles to diagnose and troubleshoot problems and solve them as they occur during operation.
• Ensure that quality standards are met for products from the assigned machine.
• Adhere to all standard operating procedures, good manufacturing practices, and safety guidelines.
• Lend support to maintenance personnel and ensure proper communication methods are in place.
• Develop and enforce thorough cleaning and sanitation protocols for all equipment, production areas, and utensils.
• Coordinate with cleaning staff to ensure thorough and regular cleaning schedules are maintained.
• Conduct periodic audits of cleaning procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Address any sanitation-related issues promptly and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Must attained a technician's diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering Technology with specific experience in Utilities.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in the Manufacturing, Food/Beverage Industry. 
• Must have proven ability to perform skilled technical work to maintain, repair, modify, and install machinery equipment.
• Attain a proven strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of levels.
• Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent organizational and coordinating skills.
• Any satisfactory combination of experience and qualifications.
