Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Innovation team in the capacity of:

 

User Experience (UX) Researcher

 

Collaborate with cross-disciplinary team members to conduct user research for various Sagicor Products.

Work and adapt in a fluid, fast-paced environment to assist in the development of large-scale digital innovation projects for consumer brands and enterprise clients.

Connect and design, business and technology to ship world-class digital experiences for Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited.

 

Location: Kingston

 

As a UX Researcher, you will:

 

  • Apply methods to analyze and synthesize research data and interpret data accurately.
  • Translate research findings into actionable recommendations for Product Designers and business stakeholders.
  • Plan and conduct various user research and testing methods. Effectively undertake associated tasks such as participant recruitment and scheduling, producing test materials, setting up test environments/ labs, analyzing, and delivering findings.
  • Collaborate with Product Designers by applying research findings to help create exceptional wireframes, process flows, mock-ups and other design documentation.
  • Facilitate evaluative research studies and support Product Designers in the creation of strategic deliverables (such as journey maps, storyboards, competitive analyses, and user personas).
  • Evangelize research; Share insights with the broader organization and externally in creative ways to increase awareness.
  • Actively contribute to the UX Research processes, documentation, and repositories and help maintain and promote the participant database.
  • Continually learn and grow in the practice and actively seek out opportunities to improve your skill set.
  • Understand user research methods, when to use them and how to apply them correctly. This may include, but not be limited to usability testing, user interviews, focus groups, surveys, field studies and competitor analysis.
  • Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

 

What do you need?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Data Science, or equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • At least two (2) years' working experience as a UX Researcher or Researcher in another industry.
  • A very strong research portfolio.
  • Experience executing various user research and user testing methodologies.
  • Experience using analytics to influence decisions.
  • Quick problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise independent judgement.
  • Strong people, process and research abilities.
  • Great communication, collaboration and presentation skills.
  • Continuously learning new approaches to generate innovative solutions.
