The Treasury Manager is responsible for the efficient measurement and management of the Financial Institutions’ Treasuries in accordance with established Service Level Agreements (“SLA’s”).

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensures Financial Institutions’ treasuries are balanced at the agreed intervals and provides updates to Senior Management;
  • Plans and organizes the department’s workflow in a manner, which ensures the efficiency and consistent achievement of deadlines;
  • Monitors and manages the organization's relationship with Financial Institutions;
  • Oversees daily treasury operations to ensure that all transactions are recorded completely and accurately
  • Ensures timely reporting, per SLAs, to Financial Institutions.
  • Analyses various scenarios and advises Senior Management of potential risks;
  • Monitors responses to all Financial Institution queries within SLAs
  • Develops and maintains risk mitigation strategies;
  • Prepares management reports;
  • Liaises with Senior Management across the organisation;
  • Creates an environment, which fosters a good working relationship and productivity.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, management, or finance required
  • MBA or an advanced degree in business, management, or finance would be an advantage
  • A minimum 3 -4 years’ experience in a management capacity 
  • Experience in managing a Treasury with a good understanding of Treasury Accounting
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles;
  • Intermediate to advanced computer software skills, including Excel and other accounting packages.
  • Ability to work autonomously and be part of the broader team;
  • Understanding of the appropriate handling of sensitive information;
  • Excellent time management and organisational ability;
  • High level of attention to detail;
  • Strong client relationship management and customer service skills;
  • Team player with the ability to communicate and coordinate with multiple parties;
