Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Group Client Support team in the capacity of:

 

Training Associate

 

Have the responsibility for meeting training needs and delivering training programmes based on skill gap analysis and identified needs while

delivering pre-determined training curriculums on client care, soft skills, continuous learning, and new hire training programmes.

Create learning environments, gather materials, and use learning styles that best suit those participating to optimize the success of delivery.

 

*This job includes a flexible work shift in a 24-hour setting including weekdays and weekends*

 

Location: Kingston

 

 

As a Training Associate, you will:

  • Provide training to new hires and existing team members on policies, procedures, rules, regulations, systems, telephone skills and areas of technical/ client service development.
  • Conduct trainings and/ or coaching programs as needed.
  • Monitor, coach, evaluate and track progress during training.
  • Facilitate courses using progressive adult education training facilitation and presentation skills, including the use of various training methodologies to include, but not limited to, group lecture, role-play, video, on wall projections, exercises and or handouts/ desk aids.
  • Responsible for scheduling, facility preparation, reporting, and other tasks, associated with training delivery.
  • Develop and design training materials, when assigned.
  • Evaluate materials and the effectiveness of the training designs, programmes and processes while providing and implementing recommendations for improvement to keep current and to ensure accuracy of training materials.
  • Continuously develop training knowledge and facilitation skills through active participation, evaluation, and development.
  • Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

 

What do you need?

  • Associate degree in Business Administration or a client related field from a recognized institution.
  • At least two (2) years’ working experience in a training role and/or in a client support environment.
  • Prior experience or formal training in client services.
  • Certification in training methodologies and delivery would be an asset.
  • Ability to facilitate training and presentations in one-on-one sessions or in large groups.
  • Experience working with projects and managing personnel would be an asset.
  • General personal computer skills and a strong knowledge of computer software packages including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to develop clear and concise materials that incorporate various techniques and strategies to optimize learning.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management, analytical, communication skills.
  • Possess the ability to innovate and adapt ideas, create concepts and visualize deliverables.
  • Demonstrate a creative/ illustrative methodical approach.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized.
  • Strong coaching/ motivational skills at both the individual and team level.
  • Complete understanding of the company's products and/ or processes including call, and/ or administrative functions, operating platforms and applications.
