The Trainee Engineer supports the needs of the business by providing technical and operational support to the Production Facilities, maintaining the necessary controls, procedures, and systems for efficient operation of the business unit.  The job holder supports the timely and efficient upkeep of the facilities including compliance with established industry standards.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• To provide support to the Production Supervisors including operation of equipment at    production plants at its various locations throughout the island.

• Supports the implementation of the preventative maintenance program to ensure that all equipment island wide are well maintained at all times, e.g. tanks, scales, pumps, etc.

• Supports the monitoring and operates plant efficiently to achieve maximum production with minimum waste and down time.
• Contributes to successful completion of assigned projects.
• Ensures that the safety policies and procedures of the Company are adhered to at all times.

The successful candidate should have:

• BSc in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related discipline
• 2 years’ experience working on a plant/production environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
