The Trade Marketing Assistant will be expected to execute all Trade Marketing plans for the Decorative Paint Division both on the local and export markets front as required.
Primary Objectives:
1) Key account program - Development and execution of Key account program that is customized to the retailer based on their needs . Could consist of promotional trade deals /discounts, quarterly sales incentives, exclusive Instore consumer promotions, merchandising planograms , co-op advertising with retailers seasonal promotions , customer appreciation days and sponsorships. Work with Sales representatives and Commercial manager.
2) Instore execution : Executing instore consumer promotions, advertising campaigns or new product launches to increase instore sales – via POP Material (Shelf strips, Aisle talkers , header boards , posters ) , indoor and outdoor signage and instore promotions at the point of sale with promotional staff .
3) Merchandising Excellence - Develop and execute planograms using sales data to optimize the shelf space in key accounts or Color shops. Set up displays for special projects/promotions to attract attention and increase sales. Work closely with the KPL merchandisers in the key accounts.
4) Advertising artwork and print material co –ordination and follow up : for all Social media , Email campaigns , unaddressed mail flyers , POP , outdoor signage or any promotional collateral ( flyers or brochures) . To execute marketing programs on time.
5) Outdoor Advertising/signage co -ordinate and install Outdoor signs for Key accounts and Paint Shops by liaising with signage contractors.
6) Competitor market intelligence - Provide feedback to management on competitor new product launches and competitor initiatives.
7) Customer Relationship building - Proactively communicate and build relationships with the customers (hardware owners) and KPL Sales Team Staff.
8) Customer weekly contact report -Routinely visit and meet with store owners on a fortnightly basis key customers: Hardware’s and Color shops, with the aim of identifying how we can improve our Products’ presence and service to them. Provide weekly updates on all customer visits accompanied with Photos, Action plan, customer requirements and costs for approval and execution
Secondary Objectives:
1) Catalog and store artwork in an easily accessible filing system.
2) Provide support for marketing events and exhibitions as required.
3) Assist with sourcing items as requested by the CEO.
4) Any other functions of the group as requested.
