Trade Marketer

A pharmaceutical distribution company, with branches in Jamaica and Trinidad, is seeking Trade Marketers to drive the execution of investment plans, ensuring optimal brand visibility and sell-out performance across various distribution and communication channels. This role involves 80% fieldwork and 20% administrative tasks and requires a strategic, hands-on approach to trade marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and validate Point of Sale (POS) execution, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Oversee the implementation of trade investment plans, working closely with Sell-Out Representatives.
  • Monitor and analyze consumer offers, promotions, and profitability.
  • Support market analysis, identifying distribution opportunities and POS execution gaps.
  • Assist in launching new products and ensuring proper activation, coding, and distribution.
  • Track and report on competitor activities in the market.
  • Manage and control POP materials, promotional items, and redemption vouchers.
  • Audit and ensure compliance with investment plans and KPI targets.
  • Lead and train sales and field teams on trade execution, brand portfolio, and best practices.
  • Plan and execute BTL marketing activities to support brand initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records for audits and performance tracking.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar trade marketing or sales role.
  • Proven success in achieving sales results and managing teams.
  • Experience in route planning and field sales execution.
  • Strong knowledge of the Jamaican market and trade dynamics.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Leadership in negotiations with customers and suppliers.
  • Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving abilities.
  • Target-driven with a focus on execution and results.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and executive presentations.
  • Ability to work independently and lead teams effectively.
  • Intermediate level proficiency in English.
