Job Summary
To contribute to the development and assume responsibility for the execution of Trade Marketing plans which meet brand volume, and promotion objectives for each outlet in order to optimise the use of company’s resources all in an effort to build long-term and better relationships with our customers, to obtain a lasting competitive advantage.
Job Responsibilities
Promotions
Work with the Marketing and Sales Teams to proactively create innovative Trade activations in accordance with Brand guidelines.
Management of Promotional Support Team to achieve objectives within each channel
Management of Joint-Up Business Plans with key customers and drive usage of customer marketing funds to drive customer objectives
Lead Winning Execution Strategy within Channel. Contribute to the overall channel strategy by brand with weekly trade audits identifying action plans to capitalize on opportunities.
Weekly reviews with Sales Teams to ensure customer and channel objectives are a reviewed to drive volume in service of AOP
Manage all requirements for promotions to ensure timely delivery i.e. advertising materials, promotional items, hampers, coupons, entry forms and boxes etc.
Manage the procurement of ALL Trade Marketing tools and promotional items for inventory.
Review all Promotional review forms and report on key findings i.e. competitive data etc., making recommendations for improvements as needed.
Ensure all ROI documents for events and promotions are completed prior the schedule/confirmation is issued.
Ensure all promotional activities are managed via pre and post evaluation analysis
Contracts
Work closely with Procurement and Finance teams to ensure all processes are followed for contract management of suppliers such as Brand Ambassadors along with timely payments.
Maintain an updated contract register of Joint Business Plan customers to ensure obligations are met to benefit both parties (customer and company)
Participates in and/or conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact in addition to other activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfilment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer requirements.
Prepare all ROI and calculate payback period to submit with all contractual agreements.
Examine customer’s performance monthly via Trade visits and purchasing records to ensure all obligations are met by both parties.
Plan and coordinate yearly activity plans for each of the contracted outlets which lock down any gap for foreign competition to capitalize on outlet activities.
Compiles and analyses data, maintains historical information.
Budgeting
Manage and monitor the allocated Trade Channel budget
Ensure all Accruals and invoices are submitted on a timely manner with supporting documents
Prepare annual budget plans in accordance of the Companies strategic plans.
Qualifications & Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent – Marketing or Business Management.
