The Tides restaurant was opened in 2000 by husband and wife team, Tammie and Guy Beasley. Located on the west coast of the sunny island of Barbados in the Caribbean and set in tropical gardens right on the ocean front, The Tides has won several awards and is highly rated by both Trip Advisor and Zagat alike. This fine dining restaurant offers a menu full of international flair with a strong emphasis placed on fresh seafood. Vegetarian and children’s menus are available and there is a varied dessert menu. The service is impeccable which comes from regular in house training and close mentoring. This establishment caters to small and large wedding parties, corporate dinners and other special occasions. The Tides has a strong management team comprising of a Restaurant Manager, Operations Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager and two Sous Chefs. There is a Reservationist, Inventory Comptroller and Accounts Clerk amongst the near 60 members of staff. The Tides provides the services of a Human Resources Consultant and has an Employees Assistance Programme. The Mission Statement of The Tides Restaurant “Is to be the premier restaurant in Barbados, where we are proud to provide each guest with a memorable experience at “The Tides” and where wholesome staff relations are nurtured”. There is an Art Gallery throughout the public areas of the property that offers art for sale from several Barbadian, Caribbean and South American artists. Many diners and avid collectors purchase art from this gallery.
