Teller (Montego Bay)

The Teller accurately processes and balances all customer deposit transactions assigned throughout the shift in a manner that is consistent with the objectives, policies and procedures of the Company.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sign for crossing stamp and an over/ short display board from the Senior Prep Teller/ Prep Teller
• Ensure no cash is left behind from previous shift
• Collect deposits to be processed from the Receiving Room Tellers along with Vault Transfer Reports detailing the customers’ names and locations, number of bags, receipt numbers, banks’ name (consignee), couriers’ names and the system assigned reference number (sequential numbering of bags)
• Process deposits one at a time in accordance with the procedures outlined in the Cash & Custody Procedures
• Package, seal and label garbage for destruction after 30 days
• Ensure Cash, Custody & Security Procedures are followed at all times (e.g. stamp locked up and cash compartment locked when away from work station)
• Perform any other duty assigned within the scope of the position 

• A minimum of five (5) CXC including English Language and Mathematics/Accounts.
• Basic knowledge of the computers and Microsoft office
