Job Title: Telesales Representative
Primary objective of the job:
The Telesales Representative is responsible for frontline representation of Digicel Business products and services primarily to the SME space. This includes up selling and cross selling to our existing base, re-signs and the generation of new business opportunities to achieve the set target. The Telesales Representative will work in a small team to support and complement the face-to-face sales team and Business Account Managers.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Continuously seek and capitalize on opportunities to exceed the expectations of customers (internal and external), by placing a keen interest in understanding and effectively resolving customer-impacting issues in a professional and result-oriented manner.
- Management of customer database to protect Digicel revenue, by re-signing existing business, identifying new GSM and ICT business opportunities within existing accounts and generating new business through cold-calling, referrals and through an understanding of the SME environment in Trinidad and Tobago.
- Work closely with Sales Team to achieve Business Sales target and assign calendar appointments to BSEs as required.
- Assist with customer’s requests for direct contact re-signs and query assistance.
- Ensure timely update and renewal of customer contracts and related database, contact details and sales activities.
- Ensure the timely and accurate update of all sales-related reporting databases, mechanisms and reporting tools as required.
- Attend and actively participate in all products and services training, utilize the acquired skills and product knowledge to enhance customer service delivery and make recommendations for improvement.

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Tertiary level education in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration or Social Science
- At least one-year professional experience in a similar role
- Call center experience is considered valuable
- Some sales experience is preferred
- Experience in and with the mobile telecommunications sector would be considered an asset.
- An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements
Functional Skills:
- Strong sales experience (essential)
- Flexible – willing to work on a shift basis, covering customer and business demand.
- Good telephone etiquette/ experience
- Strong PC skills essential
- Target focused and driven.
