Telehealth Lab Coordinator

We are seeking experienced Lab Technicians that are able to read and interrupt lab result in a BPO environment.

Job Summary: 

The Labs Coordinator is responsible for clearing patients based on a standard and defined process to ensure the patient can safely undergo surgery. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Assists patients in evaluating them for their appropriate surgical procedure(s) 
• Reviews patient’s medical and health history to determine pre-admission testing 
• Schedules appropriate medical and cardiac clearances 
• Schedules patients for follow-up appointments and tests 
• Coordinates with clinical staff to gather information for all patients 
• Codes information from physicians about procedures performed 
• Assesses no further testing or additional clearances are needed 

Required Skills/Abilities:  

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Customer service orientation
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills 
• Must be able to read and interpret lab results. 

Education and Experience: 

• Must have a Certificate in Lab Technology/Phlebotomy
• Social Media Savvy
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred  
• Plastic surgery knowledge preferred
• HIPPA & OSHA Compliance Certification preferred 

Physical Requirements:  

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer and answering multiple phone calls per day 

Travel Requirements:  

• Be able to commute to and from the site.
