We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Telecommunications Technician to join our team. This role focuses on installing and maintaining telecommunications equipment, with particular emphasis on home internet installations, including 4G systems, telephones, internet and cable.

Responsibilities

• Install internet & cabling systems, including antennas, both outdoor and indoor, in compliance with industry standards.
• Upgrading existing cable television and internet systems
• Optimize installations using calibration and test tools to ensure peak performance.
• Run diagnostic tests on communication systems to ensure they function optimally.
• Perform quality assurance tests on all signaling and cable equipment, ensuring they meet performance standards.
• Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner, minimizing downtime of telecommunication services.
• Maintains a safe work environment by following protocols and standards
• Troubleshoot issues and identify solutions for cable television and internet networks.
• Communicate with management and clients, answering questions and providing technical support related to cable and internet systems.
• Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records accurately.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience.
• One to three years of related IT/telecommunications experience
• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information in a clear and concise way to clients and colleagues
• Physical ability to work in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, during various weather conditions
• A valid driver's license and reliable, insured transportation to reach job sites and client locations
• Strong multitasking skills

• Knowledge of basic electronics
• Knowledge of various telecommunication systems and practices, particularly in home internet and cable TV installations and 4G technology.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in relevant computer applications and hardware.
• Ability to work in various physical conditions, including heights and confined spaces.
