As a Technical Warehouse Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting the efficient and smooth operation of our Warehouse.

Job Title: Technical Warehouse Associate 

Organisation: Dwellings Group - Barbados

Location: Dwellings Barbados All Locations

Reports To:  Warehouse Supervisor


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the repair and restoration of defective furniture, including painting and refinishing, to prepare items for resale.
  2. Support Design Studio projects, special installations, and service calls as required.
  3. Manage customer service call documentation, follow up on queries, and relay feedback to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  4. Handle the picking and packing of customer orders, including furniture assembly, for delivery or collection.
  5. Collaborate with the delivery team to ensure customer orders are delivered according to company policy and serve as part of the delivery team when needed.
  6. Maintain cleanliness and organization of stockrooms across all locations.
  7. Assemble and install special items and furniture as assigned.
  8. Participate in stock counts and inventory management under the direction of your supervisor or manager.
  9. Uphold warehouse standards, including maintaining visuals, cleanliness, and signage.
  10. Comply with the company's Health & Safety Policy and actively participate in Occupational Health & Safety training.
  11. Perform additional duties as assigned, aligned with the scope and nature of the position.

Requirements

  1. Completion of Secondary School Education with 5 CXC’s certificates.
  2. Vocational training in furniture repairs or a related field is considered an asset.
  3. Previous experience working in a warehouse environment would be considered an asset.
  4. Possession of a Valid Police Certificate of Character.
  5. Ability to achieve results both independently and through teamwork and cooperation.
  6. Ability to be mobile on the sales floor / warehouse for extended periods of time.
  7. Availability to work shifts as required to receive containers, including Saturdays and Sundays.
  8. Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 150 lb., while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
