Our Aftersales Team is currently looking for a talented Technical Team Lead to be the responsible for overseeing and ensuring that the diagnosis, inspection, repairs, maintenance, and installation work completed by the Technicians is done efficiently and in compliance with quality, safety, time, and manufacturer standards. This role includes providing hands-on technical support, mentoring technicians, and ensuring vehicles are fixed correctly on the first visit.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
• Oversee all assigned work from start to finish, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
• Conduct daily quality checks to maintain high workmanship standards.
• Review, validate, and sign off on repair estimates.
• Guide, assess, and recommend training for Technicians.
• Assess upcoming booked jobs to anticipate vehicle needs and gain customer preapprovals.
• Assist in job allocation and workload distribution when necessary.
• Provide support on complex diagnostics and repairs.
• Ensure adherence to manufacturer policies, warranties, and safety regulations.
• Focus on first time-right repairs and timely job completion.
• Prepare and submit reports to manufacturers.
• Stay updated on automotive trends and technology, sharing insights with the team.
• Address technician challenges and customer concerns professionally.
• Oversee the proper use, maintenance, and safety compliance of vehicle hoists.
• Keep Service Lead and Service Manager informed of job progress and issues.
We'll make a match if you meet the following requirements:
• City & Guilds 1 and 2 or Advanced Diploma in Automotive Engineering or related qualifications
• 5+ years’ demonstrated experience in the automotive industry
• Expertise in vehicle, repairs, and maintenance, with a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair software
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Great team player with good communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
