About the role As a Technical Support Engineer - Applications you will be responsible for operating and managing customer enterprise application solutions. This includes supporting the resolution of incidents, requests and problems utilizing effective change and case management practices. Key responsibilities - Conduct research and analyze technical materials (data, reports, and documentation) utilized to provide recommendations and input for IT-related matters.
- Support resolution of technical and business issues within the managed environments of responsibility, ensuring compliance with key performance indicators.
- Participate in the analysis and resolution of IT problems, providing guidance for impact/change assessments.
- Implement planned changes to managed environments in accordance with agreed-upon procedures and evaluated with the change management function.
- Develop and streamline processes and solutions at customers, thereby improving business processes and enhancing application performance, viability, and value.
- Share knowledge with colleagues to contribute to Fujitsu’s knowledge base and enhance its overall value.
Key qualifications and experience - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or a related qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in an IT services environment.
- Technical knowledge in one of the following cloud technologies: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud, or Google Cloud.
- Technical knowledge in two of the following application technologies: Oracle, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Amazon Redshift, Azure Cosmos DB, MongoDB, Cassandra, MariaDB, SAP Sybase ASE, IBM DB2, Hadoop HDFS.
- Technical knowledge in two of the following application technologies: Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications (Human Capital Management, Enterprise Resource Planning, Finance), Oracle Insurance, .NET-based applications, Java-based applications, Kubernetes, Ansible, Data Analytics, Oracle WebLogic, and JBoss EAP.
- Technical proficiency in two of the following operating system technologies: Linux/UNIX administration, Windows administration, hypervisor/virtualization, and scripting.
- Certifications in any of the aforementioned technology areas are considered an asset.
