Teacher’s Assistant (Children with Special Needs)

Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher’s Assistant to join their team.

Our client, a well-established educational institution in Kingston, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher’s Assistant to join their team. This role is specifically designed for individuals who are passionate about working with children with special needs, particularly those up to 6 years old.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teachers in delivering tailored educational programs to children with special needs.
• Provide one-on-one support to students to ensure they are engaged and supported in their learning.
• Help create and maintain a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support the emotional and social development of the children.
• Assist with classroom management, including organizing materials and helping with daily routines.

Qualifications:

• Education: NVQ-J Levels 1-3 in Special Needs Education.
• Experience: Prior experience working with children, especially those with special needs, is highly preferred.
• Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.
• Personal Qualities: A genuine love for children, patience, nurturing, and a calm demeanor are essential for this role.
