As the Group Talent Acquisition and Retention Partner, you will have primary focus on end-to-end recruitment, often for specialized positions. Attracting, sourcing, shortlisting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding employees for our organization, with the strategic focus of retention of all hires.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversight and Management of all active vacancies within the Group, ensuring that all vacancies are filled against approved staffing levels within the designated timelines
- Understanding and practice of the strategic talent acquisition goals of the Company, ensuring that the company’s talent needs are met in accordance with such goals with 100% accurac
- Foster long term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates by actively managing recruitment pools, talent databases and engaging in sustainable headhunting initiatives
- Proactively source suitable candidates for all vacancies within the Group of Companies using all modern and appropriate means, not limited to social media, headhunting, recruitment fairs, hiring drives and strategic implementation of methods to source suitable candidates
- Creation of HR Dashboards to present to the Group Head of HR by the last working day of each week, displaying new hire statistics, onboarding statistics, turnover statistics, staff demographic statistics, probationary passing/ failed statistics, compliance statistics (file creation compliance).
- Source and shortlist all potential candidates against hiring criteria, and conduct reference checks on all new hires, ensuring that compliance (contracts, job descriptions, COC’s, banking and statutory information is up to date) is achieved for all new hires with 100% accuracy
- Conduct interviews and schedule interviews for the Group Head of HR and hiring managers as needed
- Conduct in store interviews and ensure that all in store staff numbers are accurate against the staff demographic statistics
- Ensure that all new hires receive their uniforms in accordance with the Companys uniform policy and procedure
- Create/ amend job descriptions for the relevant roles as directed by the Group Head of Human Resources within the designated timelines, with 100% accuracy
- Actively work toward building a diverse and qualified team to support the organization by constantly revisiting the recruitment strategy alongside the Group Head of HR
- Conduct new hire Orientation/ Onboarding to ensure that all new hires are trained up on key policies and procedures within the organization
- Ensure that IT and Operations are made aware of all new hires joining the Company at least 24 hours prior to the new hire orientation to ensure that training rosters and system enrollment is conducted
- Ensure that training rosters and training plans are created and distributed to all new hires on their day of onboarding with 100 accuracy
- Creation of a monthly calendar of events to display all recruitment, training, review and follow up duties as it relates to talent acquisition and retention
- Visit all stores and conduct recruitment/ job fairs as needed to ensure that vacancies are filled within designated timelines
- Check in with all new hires on a weekly basis to ensure that their training plans and rosters are being followed and operations are conducting the necessary training and development as highlighted within their new hire agenda
- Management and oversight of all Company uniforms for the group, ensuring that orders are placed and received within designated timelines
- Work with all operating territories to fill recruitment/ talent needs, keeping updated with local employment sites, local recruitment trends and social media trends as it relates to recruitment and selection.
- Ensure that all new hire information is passed on to payroll and HR for processing and system enrollment within 24 hours of the new hire joining the organization, with 100% accuracy
- Ensure that all information received from new hires are checked and verified prior to the new hire joining the Group
- Actively engage and manage the recruitment email addresses, ensuring that there is always feedback being provided to new hires or applicants of the Group
- Any other duty as required by the Group
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
v At least Seven (7) years in recruitment, talent acquisition and development at a strategic level, with the ability to create innovative strategies to source and retain staff
v Proficient in Human Resource Information Systems (HRP, OrangeHRM, WebHR etc)
v High Understanding of Industrial Relations practices
v Bachelor’s degree in HR or Social Science, or Professional Human Resource Certification required
v Five (5) CXC Subjects, math and English are mandatory
v Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, specifically relating to Excel, Visio and Powerpoint
