TRAINEE REFINERY OPERATOR

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Nationals of Trinidad and Tobago to fill the permanent position of:

TRAINEE REFINERY OPERATOR

We are in search of individuals who possess good trouble shooting, problem solving, analytical and communication skills. The individual should also be proficient in technical data collation and dissemination and have the capacity to make decisions under abnormal work conditions.  The ideal candidate should be able to work both independently and as part of multi-disciplinary teams.

PROGRAMME OUTLINE:

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a training programme for six (6) months.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• Five (5) GCE O’ Level passes OR Five (5) CXC (General Proficiency) passes, including Mathematics, English Language AND EITHER Chemistry OR Physics OR Integrated Science

AND

A recognized Technician’s Diploma in either: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Chemical/Process Engineering, Instrumentation or any other related Technician’s Diploma.

AND

• A minimum of three (3) years operational experience in the Refining OR Process Operation in a Petrochemical industry 

• Candidates will be required to successfully complete a Technical Evaluation Process as a prerequisite
