The successful candidate must have a strong technical background, intuitive software development skills, proficient in business intelligence and data analysis tools along with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of developers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high performance, productivity, and continuous growth.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and manage expectations throughout the development lifecycle.
- Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines.
- Contribute to and apply strict compliance to KPMG published IT standards.
- Drive the development process by actively participating in hands-on coding and troubleshooting when necessary, while also balancing managerial responsibilities.
- Build automated reports and dashboards with the help of Power BI and other reporting tools
- Analyze business requirements, research, design and write new software programs.
- Provide escalated technical support where necessary for all internal applications.
- Maintain systems and remediate software defects where required.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and innovation within the development team, and implement effective strategies accordingly.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, creativity, and a culture of continuous learning.
- Write and maintain effective end user and system documentation for internal applications.
- Generate required reports within a timely manner.
- Ensure all project documents are complete and current using documentation standards.
- Conduct training sessions related to internal applications for technical staff and end users.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software development, and proactively share knowledge and insights with the team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus
- Proven experience in software development, with expertise in programming languages such as C#, C++, VB.Net, ASP.net, SQL Server or similar.
- Working knowledge in tools and systems on MS SQL Server BI Stack, including SSRS and TSQL, Power Query, MDX, PowerBI, and DAX
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including team management, mentoring, and project coordination.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience in agile development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Solid organizational and time management abilities, with the capability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience in managing stakeholder expectations and balancing competing demands.
- Knowledge of software quality assurance principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with version control systems and issue tracking tools.
