The incumbent is required to understand HRIS data and processes, as well as learn file creation specifications, loading approaches, and troubleshooting techniques.

Job Summary:

The Candidate is expected to participate in all program workstreams and provide ongoing support to internal stakeholders. Participation in system demo(s), processes and integration testing is also a prerequisite of this portfolio. The incumbent is responsible for defining and developing help desk knowledge transfer approach and materials. Attendance at administration and reporting training is mandatory, with the incumbent being solely responsible for delivering help desk training, whilst assuming full ownership of the System Administration responsibilities post deployment.

 

Job Description

  • Participate in system design and planning sessions for the development and maintenance of payroll IT systems.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and diagrams of IT systems.
  • Monitor and report on system performance and key systems metrics.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot user problems.
  • Analyze system performance and recommend improvements.
  • Perform software installs, and operating system patching.
  • Suggest improvements to internal support procedures.
  • Provide general systems administration tasks including system configuration management, OS installations, security updates, and urgent system patching.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • A BSc. in Information Technology or equivalent
  • At least 3 years programming and/or business solutions experience
  • Experience in projects and system implementation for ERP or Payroll software solutions would be an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and payroll software programs such as Payroll 123
  • Experience in projects and business requirements analysis would be an asset.
