Supply Chain Management (SCM) Contract Coordinator (On Contract) - Job ID# 14262

OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE  

  • Leads the development of contracting strategies for procurement of goods, services, and projects.
  • Ensures the execution of all aspects of the sourcing process for delivery of contractual arrangements in accordance with DOAM and participates in the contractor management process to ensure that value is derived from agreements.
  • Manages contractual agreements between the NGC and its vendors for an assigned portfolio of commodities, services and projects.

FUNCTIONS

  • Leads negotiations with awarded suppliers/contractors to identify and initiate opportunities for cost savings, best delivery and payment terms.
  • Develops and documents negotiation strategies with the client representatives to manage vendor relationships.
  • Contributes to the development of plans to mitigate contractual issues, which have arisen throughout the term of the contract including the development of supplier management plans as needed.
  • Provides day-to-day procurement of goods and services in accordance with strategic sourcing guidelines and agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Coordinates the delivery of local goods and services in accordance with agreed contractual timelines.
  • Provides expediting support for local and foreign goods and services to ensure timely delivery to end users in meeting company objectives.
  • Provides support to the line in developing their annual procurement plan, and strategies for all projects.
  • Evaluates and recommends long-term contracts, fixed-pricing arrangements, and service agreements to support the development of strategic alliances.
  • Conducts research, acquires knowledge, and keeps abreast of product market trends to identify/recommend alternative and new supply sources, using appropriate and available technology.
  • Develops strategic project procurement, sourcing plans and related benefits, ensuring improved service delivery and contract compliance, by effectively monitoring and sustaining cost improvements and on-time deliveries to the project.
  • Collaborates with internal users to identify their procurement needs, and coordinate the development of appropriate procurement strategies for the supply of goods and services.
  • Applies value analysis techniques to identify and recommend alternative equipment/spares and relevant solutions in conjunction with the internal user.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ascertain and document contractor/supplier performance; makes recommendations pertaining to contractor patterns of adherence and noncompliance.
  • Executes any other related duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

The minimum requirements for the position are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Management or related field of study.
  • Recognised Certificate in Contract Management / Administration would be an asset.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in procurement with two (2) years' experience at a professional level.
  • Experience relevant to the oil and gas industry would be an asset.
