Supply Chain Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Supply Chain Coordinator will support the operations through the timely execution of purchasing and logistics activities to assure optimal inventory levels to  meet market and operational needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review stock coverages, sales trends, lead times and collaborate with Commercial Team and Operations Manager to submit for approval, monthly recommended orders with supporting analyses for all suppliers by the respective due dates.
  • Prepare and dispatch approved purchase orders to suppliers
  • Routinely receive order acknowledgements and track orders to ensure timely availability cargo
  • Engage third party logistics providers as needed to ensure timely shipment / delivery of cargo
  • Ensure appropriate and current import permits are in place at all times
  • Ensure marine insurance cover for all imports
  • Source equipment, spare parts and other consumables as needed
  • Assist with the coordination of exports

 

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Operations Management
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in supply chain or logistics management
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks and Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of the Jamaica Customs Act and AEO Regulations
