Job Summary
Reporting to the Vice President – Finance, Risk & Digital Transformation, the Supervisor – Digital Transformation plays a crucial role in developing and managing the execution of the digital transformation strategy, leading towards business intelligence, process efficiencies, innovation and an agile mindset whilst effectively managing cybersecurity risks. The Supervisor – Digital Transformation will be instrumental in deploying advanced technology solutions that enhance efficiency and delivers value creation and cost competitiveness. This position develops and executes a digital roadmap that will spearhead the transition towards a digital-centric culture and establishing the required structure to support business analytics that drive informed decision-making. In addition, the incumbent will manage the cyber risk management roadmap ensuring this risk is effectively minimized.
These activities are expected to be conducted safely, cost-effectively, and reliably and must be delivered in a manner that enhances the strategic competitiveness of PPGPL and its subsidiaries. The position is also required to provide its service to PPGPL’s subsidiaries and new business ventures as required.
Dimensions
The Supervisor - Digital Transformation is required to have an in-depth working knowledge of the strategic direction of the organization and consequently plays a pivotal role in providing the means through which digitalization can be used to facilitate accurate and agile decision making, process efficiency and innovation. In this regard, the incumbent must therefore be aware of the business direction of the organization and the strategic fit between this business direction, management, and operational needs.
As part of spearheading the transition towards a digital-centric culture, the Supervisor - Digital Transformation will foster an awareness of digital opportunities and ensure adaptability and work with the relevant departments to develop an organization with high digital literacy. The incumbent will be responsible for management of the systems that enable the dissemination of business intelligence in a manner that drives data insights and informs timely strategic decisions. Whilst developing and implementing digital transformation, there must be a risk-based approach to ensure adequate governance and required compliance.
The incumbent is also responsible for effective development and management of PPGPL’s cybersecurity strategies and systems, ensuring that the associated risks are minimized.
The position is also responsible for the development and implementation of dashboards aligned with the organization’s KPIs to provide immediate insights into corporate performance. Utilizing PPGPL’s stage gate project development and management system, the role involves guiding the design, development, and deployment of software applications throughout the company. Additionally, the role involves overview of the change management processes to ensure the successful implementation of digital systems that align with PPGPL's business processes.
The position operates under general guidance and direction from the Vice President – Finance, Risk & Digital Transformation and is expected to be proactive in meeting organizational demands in a manner that constantly adds value to the organization. The position must exhibit a high level of planning, leadership, problem solving, collaboration, risk management, presentation, and interpersonal skills. The position operates under general guidelines, functions within the rules and regulations as prescribed by the company’s policies and procedures and is bounded by clear performance expectations. The role also entails developing the skills and capabilities needed to identify the requirements for implementing the digital strategy. This will include training existing staff and/or collaborating with technology providers.

Nature & Scope
As the Supervisor – Digital Transformation, the role is responsible to lead advanced technology solutions inclusive of AI and data analytics strategies.
This role operates within a context that demands technical expertise and the ability to navigate complex data environments, ensuring the seamless integration of business intelligence systems across all functions. The role demands a high level of technical complexity, having financial authority within the Authority Limitations and manages project and operational budgets within set boundaries to support strategic goals and operational efficiency.
The position interacts with all organizational levels, including senior leaders and middle management, and with key business functions like Finance, Maintenance, Supply Chain Management, and Talent and Culture Transformation, among others. Externally, it coordinates with consultants, vendors, and subject matter experts.

Job Specifications
Minimum Acceptable Academic Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer/Software Engineering or a related field and/or equivalent qualifications from an accredited tertiary institution.
AND
Minimum Number of Years of Relevant Experience
Ten (10) years’ experience in a technology environment, five (5) of which must be in leading and managing digital transformation teams and related projects and establishing and managing security protocols within an organization.
OR
A combination of Education from an accredited tertiary institution and related technical competencies and Fifteen (15) years’ experience in a technology environment, seven (7) of which must be in leading and managing digital transformation teams and related projects.
