The Stainless Steel Welder is responsible for performing welding duties in a variety of industrial applications, ensuring high-quality welds, and maintaining safety standards at all times.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Welding and Fabrication:

  • Perform welding using MIG, TIG, or Stick processes on stainless steel materials.
  • Weld stainless steel parts according to technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Prepare stainless steel components by cutting, grinding, and cleaning them to meet welding requirements.
  • Perform welding tasks on pipes, structural parts, or other custom parts as needed.

 Quality Control:

  •  Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications.
  • Perform tests (e.g., pressure, leak, and visual inspections) to ensure weld integrity.

 Safety Compliance:

  • Follow all company safety protocols and industry safety standards when handling equipment and materials.
  • Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) during welding tasks.
  • Ensure proper ventilation and safe working conditions while working with welding fumes and gases.

 Equipment Maintenance:

  • Operate welding machines, tools, and other related equipment safely and effectively.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on welding equipment to ensure optimal operation.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized.

 Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with other welders, fabricators, and engineers to complete projects efficiently.
  • Communicate project progress, material needs, and challenges to supervisors or team leads.
  • Collaborate on troubleshooting and problem-solving welding issues.

 Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain records of welding activities, such as materials used, inspection results, and work completed.
  • Report any discrepancies, defects, or equipment malfunctions to management promptly.
  • Any other related duties assigned.

 EDUCATION/ TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma. Completion of a formal welding program or apprenticeship is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of welding experience, preferably with stainless steel.
  • Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and Stick welding techniques.
  • Experience with welding equipment and related tools.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication and time management skills.

 SPECIAL CONDITIONS/ PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials, and work in various physical positions.
  • Willingness to work in various environmental conditions, including heat, noise, and fumes.
