Social Media Coordinator


Job Title: Social Media Coordinator
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Location: San Fernando
Employment Type: Contract / full-time
Salary: $ 10,500.00 Negotiable

Position Purpose The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the company’s social media and sales strategy to enhance brand awareness, improve marketing efforts, and increase sales. This role ensures the company's social media presence remains active and engaging across all designated platforms. Additionally, the coordinator liaises with external partners on branding projects, such as energy conferences, career fairs, and content creation for the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, source, and upload content to Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and the company website according to the approved social media calendar.
  • Develop and publish advertisements, including program enrollment dates, new program launches, and company job vacancies.
  • Propose updates to the company’s social media strategy based on industry trends.
  • Provide content support for the CEO, including drafting speeches or scripts when requested.
  • Conduct research and benchmarking studies on industry trends, pricing, new programs, and best practices in marketing technical education.
  • Manage engagement by responding promptly to all social media inquiries. Negative comments should be removed immediately.
  • Maintain accurate records in both physical and electronic formats, including SharePoint.
  • Collaborate with Student Affairs to execute sales initiatives, ensuring professionalism in all presentations, blogs, and social media communications.
  • Design and publish seasonal greetings (e.g., Christmas, Independence Day) and ensure timely removal once the occasion has passed.
  • Capture and upload relevant photographs and videos from company events, meetings, and daily activities to enhance social media engagement. Maintain a robust collection of images for content needs.
  • Represent the company at external meetings, including Energy Chamber events, when requested.
  • Document outdoor activities (hikes, environmental awareness initiatives, fundraisers, etc.) and incorporate them into social media posts.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies, participating in related meetings and initiatives when required.
  • Provide additional support as needed to the company’s executive leadership.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Media & Communication Studies.
  • 2–4 years of experience in Public Relations, Digital Marketing, Digital Sales, Content Creation, Social Media, or Graphic Design.
Required Skills & Competencies
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to identify and address business needs with creative solutions.
  • Experience in using AI tools responsibly within company protocols.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in photography, videography, graphic design, website management, and digital marketing.
