Our client is seeking a visionary and results-driven Senior Vice President, Investments to lead and oversee key revenue-generating functions. This pivotal role is responsible for driving growth, profitability, and strategic positioning across Treasury, Trading & Brokerage, Asset Management & Research, and Alternative Investments. The ideal candidate will spearhead the company’s funding strategies, optimize on-balance sheet performance, and contribute to shaping the broader financial strategy. The role demands a strong leader with exceptional investment expertise, strategic insight, and a proven ability to manage and mentor senior executives while navigating complex regulatory and market environments.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

 

Strategic Leadership:

•  Develop and implement strategic plans for Treasury, Trading & Brokerage, Asset Management & Research, and Alternative Investments.

•  Set performance goals, identify growth opportunities, and align divisional efforts with corporate objectives.

 

Investment Strategy Execution:

•  Lead the formulation and execution of investment strategies, ensuring alignment with financial objectives and risk-return targets.

•  Oversee investment initiatives to strengthen market positioning and profitability.

 

Funding Strategy & Capital Management:

•  Design and execute comprehensive funding plans to support liquidity, growth, and balance sheet optimization.

•  Drive wholesale fundraising efforts and secure capital for strategic initiatives.

 

Executive Oversight:

•  Manage senior executives across core divisions, providing leadership, mentorship, and performance assessments.

•  Foster a culture of accountability and innovation within the team.

 

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management:

•  Ensure all functions operate within regulatory standards and established risk parameters.

•  Collaborate with compliance and risk teams to address regulatory changes and minimize exposure.

 

Committee Contributions:

•  Serve as a key member of various committees, including Investment, Risk, and Executive Committees.

•  Provide market insights and strategic guidance to influence decision-making.

 

Market Intelligence:

•  Monitor industry trends, regulatory shifts, and competitive dynamics to identify strategic opportunities.

•  Conduct market analyses to refine business strategies and capitalize on emerging opportunities.

 

Stakeholder Engagement:

•  Build and maintain relationships with institutional investors, clients, regulators, and industry partners.

•  Represent the organization in industry forums, enhancing its reputation and thought leadership.

 

Talent Development & Succession Planning:

•  Foster a high-performance culture within direct reporting functions.

•  Lead initiatives for talent development and succession planning to ensure organizational continuity.

 

Job Requirements

•  Education: Advanced degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CFA, CAIA, or FRM are preferred.

•  Experience: At least 12 years in the financial services industry, with 5-7 years in senior leadership roles overseeing treasury, asset management, or related investment functions.

•  Track Record: Demonstrated success in executing funding plans, driving wholesale fundraising, and achieving profitability and growth targets in revenue-generating roles. Key Skills & Competencies:

•  Strategic Vision: Ability to align divisional efforts with corporate goals while identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities.

•  Investment Expertise: Deep knowledge of investment management, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks in treasury, trading, and alternative investments.

•  Risk Management: Proficiency in implementing robust risk management and compliance frameworks.

•  Analytical Acumen: Strong capabilities in financial analysis, funding strategy development, and balance sheet optimization.

•  Leadership: Proven ability to inspire and lead high-performing teams across complex functions.

•  Communication & Stakeholder Management: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
