The incumbent assists the Purchasing Manager to develop Local Supply Chains and Vendors to replace imported Supply and / or export in order to earn foreign exchange.
Position:Senior Supply Chain Analyst - Business & Vendor Development
Reporting Relationship:This position reports directly to the Vice President, Operations
Summary:The incumbent assists the Purchasing Manager to develop Local Supply Chains and Vendors toreplace imported Supply and / or export in order to earn foreign exchange.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Analyzes the supply and identify opportunities that will reduce costs, reduce foreign exchange needs or increase foreign exchange availability via exports or otherwise.
• Develops local suppliers, manufacturers and farmers to meet QA and SC requirements of the brands.
• Assists with contract development, management and execution.
• Works with overseas franchise markets and develop export based sales to these markets.
• Assists to maintain and monitor agreements to supply foreign exchange as part of a comprehensive / holistic business arrangement with PHL.
• Assists to maintain agreements with foreign suppliers and forwarders / shipping lines that allow PHL to maintain logistics payments in TTD.
• Works to maintain any duty exemptions or special provisions received from Customs.
• Works with the Value Chain to develop viable and resilient local supply.
• Performs other related duties as may be required by the jo function.
KEY SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of Supply Chain and Logistics.
• Working knowledge of QA/ QC and food safe standards.
• Knowledge of Project Management.
• Working Knowledge of Accounting.
• Working Knowledge of Customs and regulations relating to food imports and exports in the region.
QUALIFICATIONS AND WORKING EXPERIENCE
• BSC / BA in a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain or Business Development.
