Salary Range: CI $70,224 - CI $79,452

                          (US$83,600- US$94,585)

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Solutions Architect to join the Cayman Islands Government and become a vital member of a highly collaborative team “To make the lives of those we serve better”. The Senior Solutions Architect will work in a team of Information Technology professionals who are responsible for designing, developing, testing, modifying and evaluating new and existing software & infrastructure projects that improve and enhance efficiencies of the Cayman Islands Government (CIG) Departments’ business activities within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality.  

 

Qualifications: The post-holder should possess:

1.    A post-secondary Degree/diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field ;

OR

 2.    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Management or related field plus a minimum of seven (7) years’ post-graduate experience in information systems;

OR

3.    An Associate’s degree in Computer Science or Information Management or related field plus a minimum of ten (10) years’ post-graduate experience in information systems;

OR

4.    More mature entrants with thirteen (13) years of relevant architectural/advanced IT experience and related post-high school education, if aptitude for systems architecture work is evident.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Strong development background with 3-6 years of sound architecture experience. The post-holder is also required to have solid experience in OO programming & design patterns (any set of languages), CI/CD toolsets, SOA - SOAP/REST/messaging/event driven architectures. Exposure to DevOps/NoOps, container virtualisation and Cloud (internal, hybrid or external) is highly advantageous.

 

The post-holder needs to be equipped with a wide range of experience in designing strategic solutions and architectural models for the Government Departments’ business systems. The Candidate should also have in-depth experience in requirements gathering/analysis, designing and implementing information solutions and data and analytics management programmes.

 

Experience with the Oracle stack; Oracle Database, Java, ADF/APEX, WebLogic, Oracle HTTP Server would be a plus but is not required.

 

 

The post includes excellent benefits as determined by the Public Service Management Law and Regulations (2018 Revision), the Public Service Pensions Law (2017 Revision) and the CINICO Health Plan. This currently includes 25 days paid vacation, 11 public holidays, 12% employer paid pension and comprehensive health insurance.
