Job Title: Senior Project Executive

 

Primary objective of the job:

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Senior Project Executive to support the Commercial Department in driving commercial initiatives, product launches and customer acquisition strategies.
 

The Senior Project Executive plays a pivotal role in ensuring that all processes within the commercial department adhere to compliance, legal and operational best practices. This includes the development of structured and easy-to-follow playbooks to standardise workflows across various business areas, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and regulatory alignment.

 

In addition to governance and process optimisation, the Senior Project Executive will support the Go-To-Market functions in executing commercial initiatives within the telecommunications business. This entails close collaboration with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, finance and technical teams to drive seamless coordination and project execution.

 

A key responsibility of this role is tracking and managing project performance, ensuring that all initiatives remain on course and deliver against commercial objectives. This includes budget tracking, and reporting, reinforcing financial accountability and transparency across all projects. By aligning strategic execution with compliance and financial oversight, the Senior Project Executive will contribute to enhancing operational efficiency and driving commercial success.

 

Main duties and responsibilities:

Project Management & GTM Execution

  • Lead and track multiple projects, ensuring they are executed on time, within scope, and meet business goals.

  • Maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and reports to ensure seamless execution.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, finance, and technical teams) to align project execution with business strategy.

  • Provide status playbooks, updates, reports, and insights on project progress, highlighting risks and opportunities.

  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to manage potential project delays and budget overruns.

 

Financial & Budget Management

  • Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring all marketing and commercial initiatives stay within financial targets.

  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for promotions and campaigns to optimize spending and maximize ROI.

  • Support financial reconciliation, including invoice processing, budget approvals, and ensuring accurate cost allocation across projects.

  • Work closely with the finance team to track actual vs. forecasted spending, ensuring projects remain financially viable.

  • Assist in the preparation of budget forecasts and variance analyses to support strategic decision-making.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities in project execution without compromising on quality or business impact.

  • Ensure financial compliance with vendor contracts, payment schedules, and internal approval processes.

 

Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to align GTM strategies with overall business objectives.

  • Prepare comprehensive reports on campaign performance, project milestones, and financial metrics for senior management.

  • Provide ROI analysis and financial insights to help optimize future campaign strategies and project investments.

  • Present financial findings and performance reports to leadership, offering recommendations for budget reallocations or efficiency improvements.

  • Act as the financial liaison between marketing, commercial, and finance teams to ensure accurate financial planning and reporting.

 

Academic qualifications and experience required for job:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounts or a related field.

  • 3 years’ experience in an accounting/operations/project management role

  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost analysis, and reporting.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint

  • Proficiency in budget management and financial reporting.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Verbal and written proficiency in English
