The Senior Network Administrator has responsibility for: o The effective provisioning, configuration, operation, and maintenance of datacentre systems hardware and software and related infrastructure o The implementation and integration of business-critical network platforms

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Control the network infrastructure inclusive of routers, switches, firewalls, VoIP PBX, enterprise wireless and several network management solutions
  • Manage virtualised environments, including hosts, network fabric and storage resources
  • Complete performance tuning, and optimisation to assure resource availability
  • Perform security and vulnerability assessment of servers, applications to mitigate cyber threats
  • Analyse operational data for maintenance, capacity planning and for future upgrades
  • Manage and support the O365 platform & technologies (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Administer and support O365, Azure, and Exchange policies
  • Administer endpoint management using client automation software including SCVVM, SCCM and other system management technologies
  • Manage High-Availability server environments and create maintenance plans including backup/recovery/DR, and tune for performance
  • Lead with planning and completion of major Windows server hardware and software upgrades and maintenance
  • Maintain and develop security solutions, authentication and directory services to ensure the security of servers, applications and confidential data
  • Provide primary support for MS SQL databases
  • Coexist with the Service Desk to ensure that outstanding Service Requests are resolved as quickly as possible
  • Any other duty as may be assigned within the scope of the job

 

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution 
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in Windows System Administration, supporting critical production infrastructure including Windows Hyper-V with multi-clusters and HA Systems
  • Expert level VoIP PBX, Wireless technology and SAN storage
  • Expert level of Backups, System Replication, Disaster Recovery, and High Availability
  • Expert level in Fortinet firewall and threat management
  • Expert level in Cisco switches and routers
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal with the ability to communicate with varying levels of staff
  • Experience in MSSQL Server configuration 
  • Sound knowledge of the Change Management process
