Our client is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Accountant who will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of their standard costing system, ensuring the timely preparation of management reports, and fostering collaboration with the production department to optimize financial efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

 

Costing & Financial Analysis:

• Oversee and maintain the standard costing system to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Prepare and analyze cost reports, including variance analysis and margin analysis.

• Provide costing inputs for financial reports, budgets, and re-forecasts.

• Ensure accurate cost calculations and pricing recommendations to support management decisions.

 

Inventory & Fixed Asset Management:

• Supervise the inventory control team, validating item setup and reviewing reconciliations.

• Investigate and address inventory variances, ensuring compliance with company policies.

• Oversee monthly stock counts, cycle counts, and fixed asset inventories, implementing corrective measures as needed.

• Review and manage depreciation entries, ensuring proper asset tracking.

 

Payroll Oversight & Compliance:

• Supervise payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

• Approve payroll transactions, ensuring statutory compliance and reporting deadlines are met.

• Oversee the preparation of payroll journals and reconciliation with the general ledger.

 

Collaboration & Process Improvement:

• Work closely with production, supply chain, and finance teams to optimize operational efficiencies.

• Develop and implement best practices for cost management and inventory control.

• Provide financial insights to support strategic initiatives and respond proactively to market changes.

 

Job Requirements

• ACCA, CPA, or MSc in Accounting with at least 5 years of relevant experience.

• Experience in manufacturing, food production, or distribution industries is a plus.  Strong proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Deep understanding of IFRS principles as applied to manufacturing and distribution.

• Proven analytical and forecasting skills with the ability to present financial data clearly to stakeholders.
