About the Role

The Senior Manager, Procurement supports the Associate Director with oversight and management of spend optimization and operation of the procurement (sourcing) function within the Bank. The incumbent builds and maintains critical supplier relationships, negotiates deals with high complexity and supports ongoing monitoring requirements. The incumbent is the point person for all compliance queries, including regulatory, audit, governance and control, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure suppliers are continually adhering to Bank and regulatory standards. The incumbent deputizes for the Associate Director as assigned / required.

About Success

• Leads the negotiation strategy for critical and high complexity supplier agreements, confirming the underlying operational process is efficient and the spend profile is feasible to ensure the right supplier is selected to support the process at the best value to meet business needs.
• Guides & coaches, the team to develop the expertise and industry best practices in vendor management in conjunction with the Associate Director, in areas including contracting and negotiating best practices to ensure the establishment of an enhanced vendor selection framework and contract management. 
• Creates & leads teams to address significant sourcing issues, working with stakeholders to agree on a resolution and to prevent any exposure to the Bank.

About You

•  5-8 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain management with at least 3 – 5 years in a leadership or senior management role
• Knowledge of legal principles dealing with contract language and requirements.
• Demonstrated success in leading negotiations with suppliers to develop win / win strategic relationships, and to influence and manage competing interests
• Experience in local regulatory requirements and framework regarding outsourcing arrangements for financial institutions in the Caribbean.
• Experience of working in complex, technical environments while collaborating with multiple vendors, partners and teams across and the business.
