Overview:

The Senior Manager - Private Credit will work closely with other members of the Investment Banking team to manage transactions and develop documentation to support the overall execution of Private Credit and other Alternative Investments structures.

He/She will work closely with other senior members in the Sygnus Team to structure Private Credit transactions and develop documentation to support the overall execution. These structures include Promissory Notes, Commercial Paper, Factoring, Medium term Notes, and other debt structures. This is a great opportunity to learn and grow from working closely with some of the most experienced and innovative Investment Banking professionals in the region. 

Role Description:

The Senior Manager - Private Credit will work closely with other members of the Investment Banking team to manage transactions and develop documentation to support the overall execution of Private Credit and other Alternative Investment structures.

He/She will work closely with other senior members of the Sygnus Team to structure Private Credit transactions and develop documentation to support the overall execution. These structures include Promissory Notes, Commercial Paper, Factoring, Medium-term Notes, and other debt structures.

This is a great opportunity to learn and grow from working closely with some of the most experienced and innovative Investment Banking professionals in the region. This role will be responsible for overseeing credit management, credit risk management, and financial analysis within the private credit sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the timely analysis, structuring and presentation of credit/financial solutions proposals.
  • Lead, manage, and oversee the underwriting process for various alternative investments.
  • Collaborate with IB Associates/Analysts to assess companies and recommend investment suitability.
  • Prepare and review materials for alternative financing processes.
  • Recommending alternative terms, conditions and covenants to provide a viable banking proposal to the
  • client within sound credit lending practices.
  • Conduct due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation for live transactions.
  • Assist in origination, structuring, and syndication of investment banking and alternative investment products.
  • Support underwriting of alternative investment products such as private credit and real estate financing.
  • Develop and evaluate financial models for debt, mezzanine, and preference equity structures.
  • Prepare underwriting memoranda and present transactions for committee approval.
  • Cultivate client relationships to expand business and strengthen the IB presence regionally.
  • Prepare and review client financing materials including investment memoranda and pitchbooks.

Relevant Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics or equivalent.
  • MBA, MSC or equivalent education, and training would be an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in private credit or investment banking or similar capacity.
  • CFA Charterholder or at least a Level II candidate, would be an asset.
  • Credit management and credit risk management skills.
  • Strong understanding of credit principles and financial analysis.
  • Experience in structuring and executing credit transactions.
  • Excellent financial modelling experience and expertise.
  • Good understanding of private credit investment securities such as bilateral notes and debt structures.
  • General understanding of international financial markets and the economies of the Caribbean.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, written, organization and presentation skills. 
  • High degree of integrity, entrepreneurial spirit, innovative inclination, and strong work ethic.
