JOB SUMMARY:

As the Senior Manager, Network Planning you will report to the Executive Manager – Network Management and will play a critical role in maximizing the profitability of the airline network by developing and implementing strategies to optimise CAL’s route network, identifying new potential routes, concepts and assets and optimising existing routes.  You will be responsible for leading the scheduling team, which must develop efficient schedules and assist in the optimisation of aircraft utilisation within available and planned resources. In short, you are key to defining and executing CAL’s strategic direction.

KEY DELIVERABLES:

These include but are not limited to:

        I.            Develops a profitable network operation while working closely with Senior and Executive Management.

     II.            Leads the production and dissemination of Caribbean Airlines schedule data on a regular cycle for all schedule distribution systems and key stakeholders.

   III.   Leads the coordination of schedule research and network route planning studies, analyzes information and revises operating schedules to produce the most effective results.

   IV.     Ensures that Airline scheduling committees and Airline coordination committees are provided with relevant data on scheduled and non-scheduled flights.

     V.            People Management: Develops direct reports through effective performance management, identifying training opportunities, coaching employees and providing leadership and guidance on their performance and career development.

   VI.            Prepares budget schedules and statistics for the purpose of forecasting and reporting on Caribbean Airlines schedule operations

VII.            Undertakes regular reviews/performance evaluation of traffic plans and schedules to identify strengths and weaknesses, particularly in relation to competitive carriers’ schedules. Works alongside Operations and Maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve schedule related issues to optimize aircraft and crew resources.

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

To be our preferred candidate, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Economics or equivalent education in relevant courses offered by accredited institutions.
  • IATA certification in Network, Fleet and Schedule Planning as well as Slot Coordination.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in airline network planning and/or schedule planning (including developing plans, procedures and commercial schedules).
  • At least 2 years’ experience leading teams of network planners and/or schedule planners
  • Working knowledge of network planning and schedule planning software.
  • Understanding of slot coordination procedures.
  • Knowledge of schedule data transmission and update.
  • Established proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
