Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Investments is mainly responsible for assisting with the management of the National Insurance and Social Security Service’s (NISSS) investments portfolio including analysing investment opportunities and making recommendations to the Investments Committee.
Key duties and Responsibilities
• Analysing investment proposals and making recommendations to the Chief Investment
Officer
• Conducting periodic reviews (credit analysis, adherence to policies and procedures,
completion and maintenance of security), of the performance of the Board’s investment
portfolio, reporting findings and recommending any corrective action to management
• Evaluating Real Estate projects under consideration by the NISSS Board, liaising with
Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Architects and other project resources to ensure
the successful implementation of projects
• Assisting with the collection of funds arising from the investment’s portfolio and with the
delivery of funds for purchase of new investments on a timely basis
• Attending meetings on behalf of the NISSS Board when required
• Conducting periodic reviews of the performance of institutions in which the NISSS holds
investments
• Preparing risk profiles for debt portfolios
• Preparing Board Papers as required
• Assisting in preparing operating and investment budgets
• Assessing the quality, relevance and validity of information received and utilizing the
information to perform detailed financial, economic and statistical analyses
• Summarising data describing trends in investment risk and economic influences related
to investments
• Performing any other job-related duties that may be assigned from time to time
Requirements
• A postgraduate qualification in Finance, Economics or Investments and not less than five
years’ relevant experience: Or A recognized professional accounting designation and not
less than five years’ relevant experience
• In each case training and experience in investment analysis and portfolio management
are required
