Barita Investments Limited invites suitably qualified individuals to apply for the role of Senior Manager - Financial Risk.
The Senior Manager, Financial Risk is responsible for ensuring the adequacy of models, tools and processes to support the identification, measurement, and monitoring of Financial Risks throughout the Group.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to;
▪ Building and maintenance of tools to support the measurement of the Group’s exposures to market,
liquidity and credit risks. This includes exposures of off-balance sheet portfolios.
▪ Periodic stress testing of the Group’s exposures
▪ Design and management of credit risk rating models
▪ Management of the Group’s Expected Credit Loss Models
▪ Credit review for adjudication
▪ Management of data analytics requirements to support credit and other financial risk analysis
▪ Ensuring the production of periodic reports for various risk exposures including liquidity, market, credit and operational risks
▪ Managing the valuation process across the Group including methodologies, data sources, valuation
procedures, and governance.
▪ Support the model validation process within the Group
▪ Maintaining and updating the various Financial Risk Policies
▪ Limit Monitoring and Administration
▪ Management Committee and Board Reporting
▪ Developing appropriate risk measurement, management and monitoring mechanisms for emerging financial exposures
▪ Managing financial risk and profitability models and mechanisms for pricing, business development support, risk management, and performance management purposes
▪ Use data, information, and analysis from existing risk management processes to provide value-
added insights to business lines where possible
▪ Ensure the effective management of models, tools, processes and databases that support the production of risk reports.
▪ Provide process and technical guidance for distributed tools that support the financial risk
management process.
▪ Develop and administer risk training for various stakeholders within the Group
▪ Manage, train and develop direct report and other junior staff members
▪ Build the bench strength of the unit by facilitating cross-training and other development and skill- building initiatives
▪ Support Information Technology projects that involve risk management
▪ Prepare Ad hoc risk analysis where required
▪ Any other duties assigned
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
▪ First Degree in an Applied Science field
▪ Master’s Degree in Economics, Finance or Related Discipline
OR
▪ CFA and/or FRM designation (or other equivalent)
▪ Minimum five (5) years’ experience in risk management
▪ Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a managerial or other leadership capacity.

▪ Excellent knowledge of investment products and financial markets
▪ Excellent, model building and data management skills
▪ Strong knowledge of the regulations and policies governing financial institutions (BOJ and FSC).

▪ Strong problem-solving skills and high levels of initiative
▪ Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel
▪ Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
