Senior Liability Claims Associate - Motor Third party

We are looking for an experienced individual to join the GA team and provide their expertise. The JD adequately indicates the requirements to be successful in the role.

Snr Liability Claims Associate- MotorThird Party

Key Responsibilities

• Negotiation of motor liability claims issues with Third Party insurers/brokers or Third Parties directly 
• Ensuring accuracy of assigned claim files by thoroughly reviewing the data on 4D
• Timely updates to clients/brokers, provision of good customer service
• Ensure adequacy of Reserves 
• Review claims for submission to arbitration
• Visit accident scenes when necessary
• Coordinate meetings with third party insurers aimed at resolving liability issues
• Participate in Periodic Claims Review
• Review Investigator’s Reports
• Check for policy breaches and communicate same to brokers/clients/underwriters
• Any other duty assigned by Supervisor/Manager

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:  

• An undergraduate degree from a recognized tertiary institution and/or Insurance Diploma
• Five (5) years’ experience working in a similar capacity with an insurance company, financial institution or broker 
• Good inter-personal skills, ability to deal with the public,ability to negotiate a positive outcome for both company and     client

• Above average IT familiarity and aptitude
• Ability to function under pressure, able to multi-task
• Attention to detail
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Sound knowledge of the Jamaican Road Code, Third Party Risks Act, Relevant Precedents, IAJ Rulings etc
