Experienced Human Resources Generalist
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is responsible to execute human resources functions to support and improve daily operations. The HR Generalist works in partnership with all other departments within the company to deliver HR strategic
business goals and initiatives. To manage the company’s relationship with its employee to achieve a better dynamic across the organization and minimize attrition.
Job Description
• Possesses in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance whilst processing industrial Relations and Grievance Issues
• Responsible for company’s mandatory compliance audit
• Administers various human resources plans and procedures; assists in development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, HR systems and performance management.
• Maintains Human Resource Information System records, ensuring employees have all mandatory documents on file and complete all mandatory policies through regular audits of HRIS; Paper Filings and Timeclock systems;
• Assists with writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines, communicating and enforcing organizational values.
• Participates in cross functional initiatives with different teams to improve organizational effectiveness.
• Facilitates HR Training for employees on relevant HR content, as needed
• Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
• Handles employment-related inquiries from employees, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate personnel
•• Assist in Preparing regular reports on Human Resource metrics and KPIs
• Assist in Preparing payroll data for submission to payroll
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
EXPERIENCE
Three (3) years of progressive experience in Human Resources operations is required.
strong Working Knowledge Of Jamaican Labor Laws and Regulations
Business Processing Outsourcing experience would be an asset
Experience In Employee Benefits And Benefits Administration
Experience with HRIS systems and software
KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION
Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management or a related field is required. Equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.
