To plan, coordinate drilling work plans and provide technical recommendations to improve production targets in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and industry statutory requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops drilling work plans in consultation with all key stakeholders to achieve the BU Drilling Campaign objectives.
  • Prepares and monitors the performance of work plans to ensure efficient execution of drilling operations.
  • Offers technical expertise at project stage gates and ensures a technically robust and economic drilling program is produced.
  • Plans and monitors the execution of wells to ensure the drilling work plans are executed within time and cost.
  • Prepares of final well costs for budget expenditure approval.
  • Partners with the Drilling Lead and Subsurface Team and guides the service providers during the Planning Phase.
  • Provides technical advice and recommendation on drilling techniques and technologies to improve production targets.
  • Supervises technical team members to ensure they meet all operational requirements, and the designs are in alignment with the MEEI and relevant design standards.
  • Maintains compliance to Company’s HSE and quality standards and captures all lessons learnt to continually improve drilling operations.
  • Undertakes any other assignments required from time to time, to fulfil the job purpose.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum Engineering or equivalent.
  • PMP Certification will be an asset.

 Minimum Experience

  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in oilfield drilling operations with at least 3 years in an offshore environment.
  • Project management experience.
  • Proficient in Directional drilling.
  • Well abandonment experience.
Job Specific Skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Drilling & Completions Operations.
  • Excellent knowledge of Workover Operations.
