Senior Debt Collections Officer at CICSA Credit Union Ltd.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Monitor delinquency ratios and prepare detailed reports and recommendations to senior management.
• Draft and review lending services and delinquency policies, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Maintain accurate delinquent member information, correspondence, and payment agreements.
• Contact delinquent members and negotiate repayment terms.
• Provide counseling to members to encourage compliance with payment agreements.
• Assist in the refinancing of loans for compliant delinquent members.
• Issue reminder letters, warning notices, and issue foreclosure proceedings when necessary.
• Oversee valuations of collateral properties and support the sale of repossessed assets.
• Collaborate with the Loans Department on delinquency checks and proactive risk management.
• Support the Debt Collections Department in exceeding strategic targets and improving operational efficiency.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• Diploma in Accounting/Finance or related field of study.
• At least one year’s experience in a Senior Debt Collections position of a lending institution.
• Advanced technical proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint) and financial modeling.
• Thorough understanding of member service practices and the role and function of the Credit Union.
• Strong understanding of delinquency policies and compliance regulations.
• Experience in market analysis and performance tracking.

• Strong decision-making, supervisory, and training capabilities.
• Ability to bring integrity and impartiality to all tasks and observe strict confidentiality.
• Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
• Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
